Tethered
Chandler Center for the Arts 250 N. Arizona Ave., ChandlerSaskia Jordá works in a variety of media to create installations and experiences that examine themes of geography, migration, and cultural identity. This exhibition features a grouping of suspended bird and kite-like objects, installed high in the airy gallery space yet anchored to the building. In Tethered, Jordá simultaneously juxtaposes feelings of flight and constraint, lightness and weight, hope and longing – while exploring the visible and invisible connections to place and to familial bonds.
