In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, the Gallery at CCA is proud to present Ida y Vuelta: There and Back, an exhibition featuring the work of printmaker and performance artist Diana Calderon alongside the paintings and photographs of Oliverio Balcells. Both artists create imagery inspired by Mexican history, heritage, nature, and culture and personal migration, which takes visitors on a visual trip across the border into a country rich with tradition. Experience the historical colors, patterns, textures and shapes of Mexico, seen with contemporary eyes.

After the beer is brewed, there is still much work to be done before it lands on the shelf and in a craft beer fan's hands. Graphic designers work with brewers, illustrators and owners to choose a name, colors, fonts and graphics for all of your favorite Chandler brews. From MoonJuice IPA and HopShock IPA to Oktoberfest Lager and Mr. Pineapple, come and see the array of current and historical designs, as well as some in-process documents that didn’t make the final cut.

Jacob Meders: Familiar Territory
Vision Gallery 10 E Chicago St, Chandler, AZ, United StatesWho gets to tell the story of cowboys and Indians? In Familiar Territory, artist Jacob Meders (Mechoopda-Maidu) updates 20th century prints depicting glorified moments from westward expansion, a historical period often romanticized from a white perspective. Meders' work centers an Indigenous viewpoint and asks viewers to reconsider the story they think they know.
Daniel Nez: Fractal Lineage
Chandler Center for the Arts 250 N. Arizona Ave., Chandler, AZHow do you visually tell a story that has been passed down from generation to generation? Diné artist Daniel Nez takes on this challenge in his large-scale loom structures that display fragments of complete paintings. The fractal pieces represent the stories told by Diné elders about the history of their people. The deconstructed narratives urge viewers to explore the installations until they reach a vantage point where all the components align to create a full picture.
CUSD Annual Showcase
Chandler Center for the Arts 250 N. Arizona Ave., Chandler, AZChandler Unified School District’s most gifted artists put their work on display for the community to experience in this annual showcase. The burgeoning artists from Basha, Hamilton, Perry, Arizona College Prep, Casteel and Chandler high schools display their talents and viewpoints through paintings, drawings, sculptures, jewelry, and photographs. With over 100 works on display, there is always something for everyone in this exhibition.
