Tethered
Chandler Center for the Arts 250 N. Arizona Ave., Chandler, AZSaskia Jordá works in a variety of media to create installations and experiences that examine themes of geography, migration, and cultural identity. This exhibition features a grouping of suspended bird and kite-like objects, installed high in the airy gallery space yet anchored to the building. In Tethered, Jordá simultaneously juxtaposes feelings of flight and constraint, lightness and weight, hope and longing – while exploring the visible and invisible connections to place and to familial bonds.
Miyeokguk Project

Art Social: Nature-Inspired Watercolor Painting

We matched five local artists with five schools across the two districts to work with their students this spring. The resulting artwork expresses the new skills, creative methods, and thought processes the students learned with these teachers that enhanced their artistic development.
